Kenya Wildlife Service
Kenya Wildlife Services

Location and Requirements

Kenya Wildlife Service introduced in the year 2000 a new payment system whereby all visitors will be furnished with a smart card and all the payments would be loaded in the card from any cashier point. This was intended to curb the massive losses the organisation had been experiencing for a long time. The smart card system required the installation and powering for a period of over 12 hours/day.:

  • 01 Computer
  • 01 Card Printer
  • 01 Standard Printer
  • 01 Display Terminal
  • 01 Cash Drawer
  • 01 Dollar Scanner
  • At the same time all the game parks gates had to be provided with a card scanner to assess the amount loaded on the card and register entry and exit of visitors. All these equipment had to be powered in remote locations where there is no grid power or if there was it was not reliable, therefore E-Solar had to provide suitable power solutions to guarantee Kenya Wildlife Service business operations throughout the parks opening hours from early morning to evening.
